Campagnolo time trial shifters, brakes and cranksets

It's only been six months since Campagnolo launched its electronic ESP system and less than a year since the last time trial components, but Campag is now launching time trial-specific ESP bar-end shifters and brake controls. So shifting gears is as easy as pushing a button - anything that helps conserving energy while on the rivet is always a good thing.

The new front-end set-up is accompanied by the launch of new Bora Ultra and Bullet Ultra streamlined cranksets, which are both designed to be light and stiff to maximize power transfer and Campag claim they are more aerodynamic than other cranksets on the market.

One thing's for sure, they were designed for function and certainly not form.

Cube helmets

Cube is riding the crest of its successful velo wave and is now bringing helmets to the UK.

The a HPC helmets feature a Fitsystem one-hand adjustment system and a magnetic chin closure system, which is so unusual that we have spent far too long sitting at our desks opening and closing it.

The jury's still out as to whether or not we like it yet.
