Lynskey launches five sub-£1000, US-made titanium frames
American titanium specialist Lynskey Performance Designs has released five new 'Silver Series' frames all priced at £999.99.
The Silver Series comprises two road frames, one touring/commuting frame and two mountain bikes. All five are made of 3Al-2.5V titanium in Lynskey's Chattanooga factory in the USA.
"Our mission for the Silver Series was to distill our 25 years of engineering experience with titanium into a family of bikes that takes our ‘cut no corners' philosophy and delivers world class performance and quality at an unheard of value," said company co-founder Mark Lynskey.
The two road bikes are named the Peloton and Breakaway. The Peloton is designed to be the 'comfort' option for long rides and may well suit sportive riders. The Breakaway has a more aggressive geometry for racing.
With enough clearance for 700x30c tyres, the Viale is a good option for touring and commuting.
Catering for two different wheel sizes, the MT650 and MT29 hardtail mountain bike frames accommodate 650b and 29-inch wheels respectively.
Mark Lynskey will be in the UK on April 26 to debut the Silver Series frames at the Fat Birds bike shop in Norfolk.
