Adam Kenway sliced almost five seconds off the old course record in Matlock CC’s climb of Riber on Sunday, leading a one-two for Team Zenith and underlining his form one week ahead of the National Championships.

The 27-year-old from Belper clocked 3-24.1 to take 4-9 seconds off David Clarkes’ old record for the 1.196-kilometre climb, and secure victory on the day from his team-mate Joseph Clark by an impressive 9.6 seconds.
