Yanto Barker topped of a tactical master class for Team Raleigh in the Evesham Vale Road Race in Worcester on Sunday, taking the top four positions.
Barker was part of what looked like the winning seven-man breakaway with team-mate Liam Stones when a group of 14 riders including three more Raleigh riders gave chase in the closing lap.
Seeing his chance Barker attacked and soloed to victory winning by eight seconds ahead of the bunch which swallowed up the break in the last kilometre.
After the race, Barker said: “Once I got the gap I pressed on and it panned out really well with a 1,2,3,4 for the team which is a good result and strong performance. When a team comes to a race with five strong riders like we did today people expect a strong performance so it turned out to be the best scenario today.”
Elsewhere, Graham Briggs took his second win of the season in the Legstretchers Memorial to Betty Pharoah Road Race to stop a dominant NFTO performance.
Briggs was away with Jon Mould (NFTO) on the final lap but the pair were caught with 500 metres to go. However, Briggs attacked again powering his way to victory leaving the NFTO lads to fill the rest of the podium and six riders in the top ten.
Philip Trodden prevailed in the Dick Longdragon Memorial Road Race in Banchory, Kincardinshire on Sunday.

The 27-year-old Rigmar Racer was nine seconds ahead of fellow Edinburgh rider Silas Goldsworthy (Sandy Wallace Cycles) while Finlay Young, also of Rigmar Racers, was third.
In Derbyshire, Adam Duggleby (Wheelbase Altura) showed his early season form again by soloing to victory in the second round of the Darley Moor series.
Duggleby escaped the bunch with Matt Higgins (Felt-Colbornes-Hargroves RT), the pair built up an unassailable lead, before Duggleby attacked on the last lap and road to a solo victory.
Lewis Atkins (Pedal Heaven) denied the nine Corley Cycles riders a home win in the Phil Corley Cycle Circuit Races.
A leading quartet went clear in the closing stages including three Corley riders but in the sprint finish Atkins jumped first and left the rest in his wake.
Michael Coyle led home a Brighton Mitre one-two in the first round of the Surrey League Bayeux Anniversary Series in Barcombe. Team-mate Ian Robins was eight seconds behind him with London Dynamo’s Stuart Spies in third.
And at York Sports Village in North Yorkshire, Squadra RT’s Alex Dalton got the better of Chevin Cycle Trek’s Matthew Williams in a sprint finish to take victory.
