Etixx boss expects no punishment for spectator who caused Giro d'Italia crash

Patrick Lefevere says that because of the size of the Giro now, he does not expect its organisers to take action against the spectator who rode into the peloton

Etixx-Quick-Step CEO Patrick Lefevere says he expects the Giro d'Italia organisers to take no action against the spectator who caused a crash on stage two by cycling into the peloton.

The crash, which was filmed by someone standing on the other side of the road, forced Etixx rider Pieter Serry to quit the race, although x-rays showed no broken bones for the Belgian.
