Marcel Kittel (Giant-Shimano) won stage two of the 2014 Giro d’Italia in a comfortable bunch sprint, while Michael Matthews (Orica-GreenEdge) takes over the race lead from team-mate Svein Tuft.

Kittel’s Giant-Shimano team did a good job of keeping him towards the front of the bunch in the final few kilometres, before setting him up for a clear run to the line.
