Mikel Landa (Team Sky) overturned his time deficit the race leaders by attacking to win stage two of the Giro del Trentino and take the overall lead in the race.

Vincenzo Nibali (Astana), who sat 14 seconds ahead of Landa in second place after stage one's team time trial, conceded 35 seconds to Landa on the uphill finish in Anras.
