Dave Brailsford backs Chris Froome's Olympic bid despite lack of one-day race wins

Despite never having won a one-day race, Chris Froome's Sky boss Dave Brailsford says the Tour de France champion has a good chance for a medal

Chris Froome's lack of one-day race victories and experience will not count against him in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games road race on Saturday, says Sky boss Sir Dave Brailsford.

Froome has never won a one-day race. Though he has three Tour de France titles and stage victories, he counts only a third place in the Giro dell'Appennino in his palmarès.
