Chris Froome runs up Mont Ventoux after late crash (video)

Chris Froome was forced to run up Mont Ventoux after breaking his bike in a crash, losing time on his rivals while he waited for a new bike

The finish of stage 12 of the Tour de France didn't reach the top of Mont Ventoux, but the final kilometres still induced madness in the peloton.

Richie Porte crashed into a camera motorbike as the crowd narrowed the road. Chris Froome's bike was broken in the collision and he was forced to run up the mountain in pursuit of Bauke Mollema as he waited for his team car.
