Trixi Worrack has kidney removed after Trofeo Alfredo Binda crash

German rider Trixi Worrack tore her left kidney in three places in a crash at the Trofeo Alfredo Binda and had to have it completely removed

Trixi Worrack's future in professional cycling was put in doubt after having one of her kidneys removed following a crash at the Trofeo Alfredo Binda on March 20.

The German Canyon-SRAM rider was taken to hospital in Cittiglio after the crash, before being moved to Varese to undergo surgery on her left kidney, which had to be completely removed.
