Festina Tour de France Chrono Bike collection
As we move away from the Spring Classics and towards the Grand Tour season, our inboxes start to populate with press releases filled with Tour memorabilia.
One of the first is from Festina with a new launch of the 2013 Tour de France Chrono Bike watch collection. Festina who is this year’s official Tour de France time keeper will have a 16-strong line-up to help celebrate the 100th edition of the biggest race in the world.
The 16 watches will be split into two sets of eight rubber straps and eight stainless steal straps with a variety of colours including the iconic yellow for each. Finer details include a sprocket-like watch face and chain links running along the side of the straps.
The range will be available in the next month and will cost £285 apiece. Check out www.uniquejewelry.co.uk for more information and stockiest.
Polar RX3 GPS
Following the watch and Tour de France Theme, Polar launched its RC3 GPS last week, with a tag line of “the lightest (58g) and slimmest (1.4cm in depth) GPS device on the market”. We couldn’t help but have a quick look.
The watch, which acts as a cycle computer, gives you all the data you need on your ride and allows for ‘real time’ updates on the move.
Speed, distance, elevation as well as heart rate and training zones are all recorded and displayed for instant feedback, along side, performance analysis post ride with www.polarpersonaltrainer.com.
Hosting Le Tour de France 100th edition emblem and the yellow of the leader’s jersey, the RC3 GPS TdF will be available in two packages; RC3 GPS Tdf, which includes the watch and USB cable at £199.50 or the RC3 GPS TdF Bike at £269.50 which adds the heart rate and cadence sensor.
