Testing sunglasses in the brilliant Himalayan sunshine could have been a bit extreme, but my confidence in the Oakley brand wasn’t misplaced.

The £145 Radar Edge’s aren’t cheap, but I’ve got to say the investment is worth it. Not only do they fit perfectly, with almost zero blind spots, they stayed put, with no readjustments needed; considering the kind of riding they were subjected during testing, this is no mean feat.

The lens works well on both bright and dull days, meaning these are among the best sets of glasses I’ve tried.
