Out of the mainstream, Spanish brand Etxeondo (pronounced Et-Chay-Ondo) continues to produce some excellent, if little-seen, garments.
First impressions are that its Dicolor bibs are a top-quality pair of shorts at a very sensible price, £75. Finally scrapping the old school ‘chamois leather’ style inserts, Etxeondo has used a technologically far-more-advanced, ‘Behar’ four-way stretch, elastic insert, bringing the Dicolor bang up to date.
Two high-density inserts under the main surface offer shock-absorption, claiming a reduction in perenial pressure and improved comfort. The TRS foam is perforated for ventilation and moisture-management, plus a micro-fibre surface layer next to skin, aims to provide complete freedom of movement.
A combination of Lycras – XtraLife Lycra and LycraSport – promises a close yet non-restrictive, contoured fit that incorporates a neat leg-gripper solution, both practically and visually. There are plenty of sizes available to get fit just right, with small through XXXL.
