Atom Galactik

Hutchinson, the French tyre maker celebrated for its road tubeless tyres, has launched two new models ready for some fast summer miles.

Running alongside its tubeless stablemate, the Atom Comp, this lighter (240g against 270g), super-fast version has been dubbed the Galactik.

The company, which sponsors the Europcar team, has enlisted the help of key rider Thomas Voeckler to develop the new product.

The results are likely to delight the Frenchman: Hutchinson is claiming a 20 per cent reduction in rolling resistance when compared to some tubulars – and a not inconsiderable six per cent faster than its own pro team Carbon Comp tubular. The Atom
Galactic retails at £59.99.

Atom Comp X Light

Running alongside the Galactik – and proving that Hutchinson is still keen to compete in the conventional tyre market - is the Atom Comp X-Light.

At just 160g it’s an ultra-lightweight tyre, optimised for efficiency and low rolling resistance. It’ll set you back £46.99.
