With little details like the artwork and rider details only being finalised on December 15, the clock was ticking and the staff left burning the midnight oil to get everything ready for Leopard-Trek’s first official get together, a training camp in the warm climes of Majorca, on January 10.

There’s no new Madone (yet) – the team bike is the current Madone 6.9 SSL, but obviously with a new, although not particularly masculine looking, colour scheme.

We were pretty privileged to get a ride on one in the new team livery at all, given there are so few in existence.

An indication of just how tight a time frame the designers were working to, some of the graphics were just stickers on top of the new paint job. It was almost as if the paint was only just dry in time to get the bikes packed for the camp.
