Decathlon opens new store in Seacourt Retail Park, Oxford, with 70 sports catered for, including cycling

Sport superstore Decathlon is opening a new outlet in Oxford on Thursday, May 1, and to celebrate its opening will be offering a huge 70 per cent discount to the first 70 customers through the door.

Like other Decathlon stores, the Oxford branch will offer products to cater for 70 different sports over its 2,000 square metres – including cycling. The store’s own-brand B’Twin bikes and cycling products have been well received by reviewers and owners alike.

“The new store will be located on the Seacourt Tower Retail Park, in the heart of the city,” said Steve Dykes, Decathlon UK Managing Director. “We’re keen to make a real contribution to the community, offering new opportunities for residents, students, families, schools and workers to get involved in sport. In addition to selling global brands such as Nike, Adidas and Speedo, we will also stock our own innovative passion brands products, giving people more choice than ever before.”

As part of the new store launch, Decathlon has said that it will be organising a series of free sporting events in the area for families, schools and clubs.

With such a generous opening discount offer, it’s likely that there will be a big queue outside the Oxford store on Thursday morning…
