BMW Cruise

As if the average bike buyer doesn’t have enough choice already, high-end car and motorcycle manufacturer BMW has just joined the fray with the BMW Cruise Bike.

This outlandishly orange example features a stylish hydroformed aluminium frame with through cable routing, a Shimano Alivio drivetrain, and a Suntour suspension fork. It’s available in 41, 46, 51 or 55cm sizes and weighs in at 13.9kg.

“The bike’s extraordinary colour was inspired by the legendary BMW 1802 from the 1970s, which of course back then was also available in orange — the decade’s most stylish colour,” says the PR blurb. With the Seventies not everybody’s cup of tea, BMW has hedged its bets by also offering the bike in silver-and-white or blue-and-black colour schemes.

Despite the image and name, the bike doesn’t carry a premium price tag: find £721.13 and you’ll instantly become a BMW owner.
