With more and more bike companies producing frames with push-fit BBs, its good to see aftermarket companies like Token producing spares and upgrade kits already.

An aftermarket push-fit bottom bracket

The BB86 bottom bracket is an affordable replacement for a standard bearing set for the push-fit Shimano and SRAM standard, 24mm ID, cranks. This will not only get the cranks spinning nicely, but it can add a flash of colour and at £15.99 it won’t break the bank. The ceramic bearing, titanium-coated race – Titanic – version will only set you back £59.99, which is not much more than a top-line manufacturer’s product and may even add an extra bit of oomph – real or perceived – to your ride.
