For 275 quid you can rightly expect a lot of bar for your money and according to Zipp that’s just what you’re getting.

At a shade over 200g it’s a relatively lightweight bar which, when compared to a conventional item, is said to reduce drag by five watts.

First off the routing for the bar is a real pain in the proverbial; it’s such a tight kink for the internal routing, in the long term it’ll affect the cables’ performance but it’s fine when new.

You might expect the bar to be flexy but true to form Zipp has made it plenty stiff enough for this 80kg rider with just a little give adding to the comfort. Light, fast, expensive and exclusive – love it
or hate it.
