Newly-crowned Commonwealth Games champion Laura Trott to come up against World and Olympic road race champion Marianne Vos
Revolution regular Trott added to her team pursuit and omnium Olympic titles at the end of July with a win in the Commonwealth Games points race in Glasgow. Last year, she won every race she started in the Revolution series, much to the delight of the sell-out crowds.
“The atmosphere and support from the fans at each Revolution event is always unbelievable, especially when we are back in the Lee Valley VeloPark,” said Trott. “Add the UCI points into the mix and there is a lot to cycle for in this year’s Series.”
Marianne Vos said: “Having competed in at the Revolution Series in Manchester a couple of years ago I know first-hand how electrifying the racing is, and coming back to London to compete in the Olympic Velodrome against the best British riders is an exciting challenge. I’ve had a strong set of results on the road over the summer, so I’m looking to repeat that as we get onto the track.”
Tickets for round one of the Revolution Series in London start from £15 and are available at www.cyclingrevolution.com. Subsequent rounds take place in Manchester and Glasgow, plus a further weekend of action hosted by London in February.
