British WorldTour squad Team Sky has confirmed its line-up for the first Grand Tour of the 2015 season - the Giro d'Italia, starting on Saturday, May 9.

Australian Richie Porte will be the squad's general classification hope, and goes into the prestigious Italian three-week race as one of the leading contenders. Porte has already taken victories in Paris-Nice, Volta a Catalunya and Giro del Trentino so far this year, in what has been his strongest season to date.

Former Associate Editor

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
