Professional riders Michael Barry of Sky Procycling and Dan Lloyd of Team IG-Sigma Sport rode stage 17 of the Giro d’Italia for this video preview.

Along the way, Barry and Lloyd give you an insight into what it takes to ride a mountains stage of the Giro, including tips to combat the cold, keeping energy levels up, descending skills and much more.

The 186km stage from Falzes/Pfalzen to Cortina d’Ampezzo covers four spectacular mountain climbs in the snow-covered Dolomites, with a breathtaking descent to the finish in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
