STAGE SIX

Date: Thursday, July 7 2011

From/to: Dinan to Lisieux

Distance: 226.5km

Type: Flat

Impact on jerseys

Yellow 0/5

Green 5/5

Polka dot 2/5

Take the race’s longest stage, add in a 500m hill in the final 2km, and what do you get?

ASO will be hoping the answer is an unpredictable finish in Lisieux, which welcomes the Tour for the fourth time. The stage itself isn’t that difficult, with one fourth-category and two third-category climbs separated nicely along the route.

Before the possible carnage commences, the peloton will also pass by the Mont St-Michel monastery
