Stage 13

Date: Saturday July 14

Start: Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux

Finish:
Le Cap d’Agde

Length: 217km

Type: Flat

On paper it’s a stage which suggests a day off for the hitters, but if the wind blows, all hell could break loose. Depending on the overall situation, it will be interesting to see if Sky ride for Mark Cavendish or if they are already on their knees after working for Bradley Wiggins through the Alps.

The roads to the finish are as flat as can be humanly engineered and it’ll be hotter than the Duke of Hell’s waistcoat. Prediction? A Spanish GC contender will lose time in a split in the bunch and the plucky break will be caught inside 5km to go. Sprint finish!
