Just a tenner less than the medium Especial, I found that this ‘small’ was a superior bag thanks to its fit and slightly smaller dimensions.
Packed with features, too many to mention here, Timbuk2 has really shown they know what they are about with the Especial.
Everything you could want or need to adjust is possible, and the all-important fit is excellent, as it really cinches down on your back, and its extra strap material has a clip to keep it from flapping.
All this practicality does come at a weight cost, though – at 1,364g, it’s no featherweight.
Capable of taking a 15in laptop and plenty else besides, it’s just about still comfortable when maxed out with stuff. Three panels on the rear aim to give a little airflow while the Cordura material is lined with waterproof PTU.
A great bag that you’d expect to last a lifetime, which is just as well given the price. Then again, it’s also covered by a lifetime warranty.
