As a fan of the Giro shoe range, I wasn’t hugely surprised to learn that Rapha’s GT shoes are made by Giro.
Despite being built on the same last as the Giro equivalent, they have a sturdier build that makes for a slightly narrower toe box, but a bit of stretching soon corrected that.
There’s a purity to the design that’s attractive, but touching down with your toe soon leaves unsightly marks.
Otherwise, the Yak leather wears very well – the only other early criticism is that they’re a little heavy. But, as they’re not really aimed at racers, it’s not such a big deal.
