Shimano R260 road shoe review

Cycling Weekly Verdict

The R260s are heat mouldable (including the innersole) but their comfort is such that I haven’t needed to use this. My only complaint is the colour. Black makes them look big and clunky, so it’s oversocks when I wear them.

A stiff sole, soft plyable upper and supportive innersoles combine to make an incredibly comfortable shoe. These three factors ensure comfort surrounds the foot while preserving performance, with a stiff shoe-pedal interface.

The soft upper tightens all round the foot — with two offset Velcro straps and one larger strap with a ratchet — without suffocating your foot. The soft top strap is especially good as it doesn’t dig into your ankle.
