This product is featured in: Carbon-soled road shoe test.

The most expensive shoes on test and without question the loudest.

If fire engine red isn’t your thing, you’ll be pleased to know that Vittoria also produces the Hora in both white and black.

They’re slightly wider-fitting than the majority of Italian shoes. Vittoria has chosen to use the Boa system across the top of the foot in tandem with the more traditional ratchet which can be unscrewed and moved into three different positions to cope with ankles of every shape and size.

The range of adjustment is superb, and if you like the option of going super-tight for sprinting, then you won’t be disappointed.

Verdict

The vented full carbon sole is race-stiff and, while a long way from being the lightest shoes on test, you’d be hard pushed to notice on the bike.
