There’s a massive amount of competition at this price point, and while Altura appears to have blown the budget on a good-quality pad, happily the rest of the shorts are up to scratch.
The thin material is both cool and comfortable, and offers great freedom of movement.
The silicone leg-grippers work well without pinching and the mesh bibs don’t cause chafing or irritation against bare skin – so they’re a good summer choice for those who prefer to go without a baselayer.
Sizing is refreshingly British too, so your usual casual clothing sizes should tally up.
The biggest problem for Altura is the competition at this price point – it’s fierce.
