Scott Women's RC Pro bibshorts review
A close fitted race pair of shorts that are perfect for hot summer rides
Super breathable fabric makes these an excellent summer choice, just a bit too cool for the rest of the shorts season.

These athletic fitting Scott Women's RC Pro bibshorts fitted perfectly, finding the perfect equilibrium - skin tight without over-compressing of body parts. The semi-transparent side mesh panels which run down the side of the short legs may make some riders feel self-conscious, but they did a great ventilation job on a hot ride and keep the overall short weight and bulk to an absolute minimum.
>>> Women’s cycling shorts: a buyer’s guide
Using a raw finish on the wide and tacky leg gripper meant the short was held securely in place without over compressing the thigh, giving a flattering silhouette.
The slim line foam chamois delivered both in terms of comfort and suppleness and the bibstraps were unnoticeable once on the shoulders, and, thanks to the lightweight breathable mesh upper, didn’t interfere with baselayer selection.
With all this breathability and ventilation, the shorts excelled on really hot days in the saddle, but it will limit their usability outside this limited weather window.
The only other elephant in the room is colour selection. With just Ocean Blue and Berry Purple to choose from, these are nigh on impossible to match with an existing cycling wardrobe, so you’ll need a matching jersey before sitting astride your velo.
