Blenheim Palace sportive takes place on August 17, with 60- or 100-mile route options in the Cotswolds
After a year’s break, the Blenheim Palace sportive returns on August 17 2014.
Riders can choose between a 60- or 100-mile route starting and finishing in the opulent surroundings of the historic Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
Both route distances take in the stunning scenery of the Cotswolds, with rolling hills but no major leg-breaking climbs.
Entry costs £35, with a discount currently offered to previous participants. Electronic timing, fully-stocked feed stations, first aid cover and an event T-shirt are included. A £90 VIP ticket is also being offered, which ups the game with pre-event start in the first wave of riders, a breakfast and post-race meal, and a Blenheim Sportive hoodie.
A fun family ride around the Blenheim Palace grounds’ tarmac drive is also available.
The sportive was part of the former Bike Blenheim Palace festival on its last running in 2012, which also included a time trial and the Brompton World Championships, both of which are absent this year.
