Threshold Sport has released the dates for the 2014 MITIE London Sportive with entries open today.

The event is set for Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May and after a record-breaking number of participants entered last year, Threshold organizers are expecting a quick sell out.

Nick Tuppen Head of Threshold Events, was excited to announce the dates for next year, saying: “Last year was fantastic with people of all shapes, sizes and experience taking up the challenge”.

The 2014 sportive route has been altered somewhat due to the use of the Ascot racecourse for the overnight campsite.

Those taking part have the option of riding the whole two-day event or just one day, riders can also opt to either camp at the Ascot racecourse campsite or can stay in preferred accommodation. Prices for one day start at £45 and rise to £169 for the full course with overnight stays.

Threshold Sport has also announced that Breakthrough Breast Cancer will be the event’s charities for the next two years. Breakthrough’s participation manager Tris Jones said, “Breakthrough Breast Cancer is proud to be the official charity of the MITIE London Revolution. Through this fantastic weekend of cycling, we hope to raise enough to cover over six months’ worth of research hours into the genetic causes of breast cancer.”

Despite the focus of fundraising, Threshold organisers aim is to make the MITIE London Revolution go from strength to strength with the promise of the most social calendar event in 2014.
