Dutch team who’ve been around for so long, most of their riders weren’t even born the first time they rode the Tour de France (in 1984 as Kwantum). Now Euskaltel have disbanded, they’ve got the orangest, booziest fans in cycling, despite the team kit being a washy shade of watercolour green. Said team kit comes in two sizes: extremely tall and broad, or extremely tall and skinny.

It’ll all be about helping Bauke Mollema try and break into the top five. He was second overall going into the final week of last year’s race, but slipped to sixth in the Alps. He’s also been inconsistent at the Grand Tours, with a few anonymous finishes at the Tour and Vuelta. On his day, he can climb with the very best. It’s just a shame that his day tends not to be in the final week of a three-week race.
