Lotto-Belisol

Belgian | Team website

Likeable old-school Belgian team who walk the fine line between organisational competence and chaos. Lotto will attack the Tour de France on two fronts, with André Greipel in the sprints and Jurgen Van den Broeck in the overall. Neither of which will work particulary well.

On past results, Greipel’s probably the safer bet — he’s won stages in the last three Tours. Van den Broeck was fourth in 2010, crashed out in 2011, and was fourth again in 2012 before crashing out in 2013, so he’s due a good Tour. Don’t expect attacking brio from Van den Broeck. Just be thankful if he makes it through the first 10 days without breaking something
