You can't ignore it's a cut above the rest, including features like a full carbon fork with tapered steerer, BB30 chainset - both aspects more akin to top-end race rigs - plus Mavic's Aksium race wheelset and Continental's Ultra Sport tyres. Shimano 105 running gear is the best you'd expect at this price point.
Aside from Tektro brakes, Boardman hasn't skimped, and even these were hard to fault in use. The finishing kit includes a lightweight carbon seatpost, and while it's ‘own brand' kit, Boardman has clearly taken its design cues from Ritchey, so the style and performance are good throughout.
