The Giordana gilet is an essential item of clothing if the weather looks like it might turn nasty

The Giordana gilet fits easily in a pocket and has been the saviour of many rides when the weather has turned.

As well as providing adequate protection from light rain, the Giordana gilet provides excellent wind blocking.

The perforated back prevents overheating and the zip is easily operated with one hand. Its high collar is perfectly cut to give extra protection around the neck without causing choking.

Verdict

It's so compact that you might as well stuff the Giordana gilet into your pocket for peace of mind before a long ride, and if the weather turns nasty you'll be glad you did
