As the nights draw in, and the mercury drops we need to think about how to protect our digits from Jack Frost. As we did in last week’s winter clothing supplement, we have chosen three gloves based on the three climates the winter rider is likely to encounter: wet and warm, British winter, and Baltic. Three weeks ago, we got together 15 gloves, five from each ‘zone’ and we put the most promising through our testing process. These three are an example of a great glove for each condition.
On top of the lack of water absorption, the multi-stage tanning process of the kangaroo leather also improves grip in wet and damp conditions.
These are not cold-weather gloves like others here, but for high single and double-digit wet-weather rides, they insulate plenty well enough and the payoff is the extra use you'll get once the spring or unseasonably warm days arrive.
