Seven of the best stowaway cycling jackets

With its soft-lined collar, the Helium's comfort factor is high, but that belies its super-light construction.

The Dura Lite SL fabric is very, very fine, and as a result the jacket packs down small.

It allows a reasonable amount of moisture vapour through when working hard but this is no doubt helped by micro-perforations in the fabric on the less exposed areas.

Verdict

A curved - and offset at the neck - zip helps keep the fit snug when worn slightly undone and its rain resistance is up with the best in this test.
