Pearl Izumi Barrier cycle cap tested at CW's winter clothing shoot £19.99
Thinner than the usual Belgian style winter cycling hat, it kept enough wind from the ears to stop the cold breaking in.
The seam below the peak did flip open and while being visibly an issue, it never caused problems with riding.
Despite being waterproof on the front, in never felt too hot either.
Verdict
Skull cap warmth with additional peak protection. What's not to like?
