Castelli Mortirolo Due tested in CW's 2012 winter clothing shoot £175

Firstly, for the less adventurous, other colours are available, but the hi-viz, pixelated-camo certainly catches drivers' eyes.

Aesthetics aside, the three simple pockets are great for hauling a long rides' worth of gear but we'd like to see a moisture resistant one or your mobile will suffer from sweat soaking.

The high neck is another nice touch and the combination of warm back with windproof front and sleeves did a perfect job of maintaining warmth.

The cuff closures are a bit of a let down but the arms are now long enough to keep the wrists warm.

Verdict

Overall, it works well enough, but I'd prefer to see a few more technical details at this price.
