Gore RideOn sealed cables should outlast standard cables by miles

Gore RideOn inner cables are Gore-Tex coated, within a sealed liner from end to end.

The Gore-Tex protects the cable from corrosion and significantly reduces drag, improving function. They’re expensive, but experience suggests they’ll outlast standard cables by miles. Fitting is a breeze but 6mm gear outer casing looks dated.

Gore RideOn cables were spotted on the Cannondale CX9 of multiple Three Peaks winner Rob Jebb during the cross season, and cyclo-cross is where these cables really come into their own.

Verdict

Innovative, top-end cable set that's worth the outlay if you're riding a bike in foul conditions regularly
