We pit two chain lubes against each other to see which is best

The verdict

Muc-off's wet lube is great value, as each application only needs a small amount, so the £6.99, 125ml bottle will last for donkey’s years. It’s one of the more durable lubes we’ve tested for sure, but if it’s a bombproof approach you want, go for the Chain-L. It could be seen as the lazy man’s choice, as one application will see your drivetrain through an entire winter’s riding, but be prepared to bin the lot come spring.
