Keeping the drivetrain performing well requires a good lube, especially in wintry weather. We’ve got a bundle together including wet, dry and something a bit different to see what sticks and what slips

With genuine DuPont-branded Teflon you can rest assured the raw ingredients of this lube are up to the task despite the budget price.

Housed as they are in this Weldtite Dry product, they are best reserved for race day or if you can guarantee a long spell of dry weather.

It is a very thin lube and noticeably speeds up the drive, reducing friction, but the trade-off is longevity.

 

Verdict

Even in dry conditions we needed to reapply every three days or so if the bike saw regular use.
