We test a selection of the best front cycle lights

The torch-like Intense Bright is one of the few lights here that runs on replaceable AA batteries.

The mount allows a very secure handlebar and helmet mounting, although we would be concerned about having something so large attached to a helmet, as it could snag on something.

Verdict

If you're sticking to short, well-lit journeys, it's a great-value-for-money light, but the spot beam doesn't emit nearly enough depth or breadth of light for less illuminated routes.
