Pro bikes: Nairo Quintana's Canyon Ultimate CF SLX (video)

We take a look at Nairo Quintana's bike for the 2018 season

This is the Canyon Ultimate CF SLX that multiple Grand Tour winner Nairo Quintana used through out the 2018 Tour de France.

For 2018 Quintana’s Canyon retains the classy blue faded paint job where the rear blends from dark on the rear through to light at the front end.

Despite having the Canyon Aeroad at his disposal, Quintana is a natural climber so opts to solely to ride the Canyon Ultimate CF SLX. Many people have suggested that Quintana would be better off riding a Canyon Aeroad because it's more aerodynamic, although we're sure Quintana opts for the Ultimate for a multitude of other reasons, not least because it's lighter.

The most notable thing about Quintana's Canyon Ultimate CF SLX is its size. The diminutive Colombian climber is only 5' 6" and so rides an xxs frame (51cm top tube) with a saddle height of 69cm and his handlebars are 120cm high and 40cm wide. He is also using Canyon's integrated bar and stem

The bike is fitted with a Power2Max power meter, Campagnolo Super Record EPS groupset with 172.5 cranks and 54/42 chainset paired with an 11-29 cassette. To match he has Campagnolo Bora 50 tubular wheels.
