Watch: Elia Viviani's lead-out man veers off the road after finishing his effort
Great commitment
The last thing any sprinter wants is for their lead-out man to do a great job getting them into a great position, before not swinging off properly, slowing them down in the process.
Thankfully there was no chance of that happening to Elia Viviani at the Vuelta a San Juan, when one of his lead-out men veered off the road completely so as not to get in the way of his team leader.

The incident took place on stage four of the Vuelta a San Juan, with Viviani having two team-mates in front of him going into the final kilometre.
Perhaps exhausted from his effort, the first rider peels off to the left, leaving a trail of dust as he runs across the shoulder of the road, before disappearing off camera into the undergrowth to an unknown fate.
Unfortunately for Viviani and his lead-out man, the effort was not enough to win the stage, with Fernando Gaviria (Quick-Step Floors) taking the stage victory.
