A video has emerged of a Range Rover passing within a metre of an eight-year-old female cyclist in the face of an oncoming van.

The video by Tim Lennon, the secretary at the Cycling Embassy of Great Britain, shows him and his daughter riding in Richmond upon Thames down a two-way street.

A car overtakes the pair before a Range Rover then drives past them at close proximity seconds later, despite a Tesco delivery van approaching from the other side.

Such is the narrowing of the road, both the Tesco van and the Range Rover are forced to slow down to pass.

Thankfully, there were no injuries and Mr Lennon was advised by the Metropolitan Police to report the incident.
