Mark Cavendish stops on a climb to have words with a spectator during stage two of the Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain is a great way to get close up to your favourite cyclists, with the likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins and Alex Dowsett possibly passing within inches of you on the roadside.

But one fan got a little closer to Mark Cavendish that he was expecting during stage two between Carlisle and Kendal as the Manxman stopped at the side of the road to have a few words with him.
